Learning about Russia

Today we began our learning about Russia.  Many of us learnt how to say good morning in Russian.  We found a few ways to say good morning.  We will say this when the roll is taken.  Can you pronounce these Russian greeting? dobroye utro! (dohb-ruh-ee oo-truh): Good morning!  The most basic, informal phrase used to greet someone is “привет” (pri-VEET).

We also began to draw some Russian buildings using vivid, pastels and dye.  We look forward to having these bright pictures on our wall.  Our inspiration was taken from a book that James bought in to share with the class.  James's Mum comes from Russia and James can speak Russian really well.  We are looking forward to learning lots of interesting facts and information about Russia over the next two weeks.
